Melissa Szaro is the newest team member at The Northwest School of Aromatic Medicine. She is a clinical herbalist and yoga teacher based in Portland, OR. She has a degree in Sustainability and Sustainable Ecosystems and studied herbalism at the Elderberry School of Botanical Medicine. She is a E-RYT 200 yoga teacher and received Trauma-Informed yoga teacher training through Living Yoga.

She has led many Plant Spirit Meditation circles and herbalism workshops at the Elderberry School and various herb shops. She is also the founder of her small herbal business, Blossom & Thorn. She weaves all of her passions into her plant practice. When not working on one of her healing-inspired projects, you can find her gardening, rock climbing, volunteering, crafting herbal medicine, camping, or out in nature with her dog, Rudy.
