Myrrh is often seen as a symbol of life and death. Myrrh is often seen as a symbol of life and death.

Myrrh was one of the first things given to Jesus upon birth (along with Frankincense and gold, of course). Myrrh was also often used in the embalming process in ancient Egypt, anointing those who had left the Earth. In fact, the body of Jesus was rubbed with Myrrh for preservation before being placed in the tomb.

Emotionally, it has been traditionally used to help people work through grief and sorrow, often accompanied by loss. There is a sweet ancient story about a Roman emperor who burned a full year's worth of Myrrh when his wife passed away.

Myrrh is a gentle hug and a comforting crutch. It can help remind us that everything on Earth is connected, and from death comes new life.

5 things you might not know about Marjoram: 🍃 Wil 5 things you might not know about Marjoram:

🍃 Wild Marjoram was known as a funeral herb to the Greeks. It was planted on graves to promote peace to those who have passed on.

🍃 The Latin name, Origanum marjorana, comes from the Greek words “oros” and “ganos,” which translates to “joy of the mountains.”

🍃 Ancient Egyptians used Marjoram to make perfumes, unguents (ancient ointments), and medicines.

🍃 According to folklore, the plant’s aroma was a gift from Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility. Because of this, it’s commonly used as a floral crown in weddings, symbolizing love and honor.

🍃 Dioscorides, a famous ancient Greek physician, made an ointment of Marjoram to warm and strengthen the nerves and called it “amaricimum.”

This time of year, the plants inherently know that This time of year, the plants inherently know that the Earth is growing warmer; they can tell that things outside are changing, and it’s time to get ready to sprout and grow new leaves and flowers.

Just as the plants and animals know this wisdom deep down inside, our energetic bodies know on a subconscious level as well.

The opportunity for growth is always there for us, but this time of year, the potential is most potent…

The fresh flowers popping up and new colors everywhere stir up energy and inspiration deep down inside of us that has been dormant through the winter months…

Do you have plans to take advantage of this energy and cultivate something new? What’s on your bucket list this year?

Have you ever felt like something is missing from Have you ever felt like something is missing from your work with herbs or essential oils?

Most people are taught to approach herbalism and aromatherapy as completely separate worlds.

But historically, they were never meant to be divided.

When you begin working with aromatic plants as a complete system — through scent, internal remedies, topical preparations, energetics, and embodied experience — everything starts to connect in a much deeper way.

This is the foundation of aromatic medicine.

And tomorrow, clinical herbalist and aromatherapist Erika Galentin and I will come together for a free webinar exploring how herbalism and aromatherapy can work together as one holistic practice.

Inside this free training, you’ll discover:

🌿 Why scent is one of the fastest ways to influence stress, mood, memory, and the nervous system
🌿 The wide range of aromatic applications and herbal remedies
🌿 The hidden connections between herbalism and aromatherapy often overlooked
🌿 How to work with plants across physical, emotional, and energetic layers
🌿 The 6 body systems most deeply impacted by aromatic medicine
🌿 Simple ways to begin crafting your own multi-sensory natural remedies

This training is an invitation into a new (and very old) way of working with plants. Back to the roots of plant medicine.

And we can't wait to share this with you.

Have you ever met a plant that seems to know exact Have you ever met a plant that seems to know exactly what your body needs?

For us, that plant is Yarrow. 🌿

For centuries, Yarrow has been used as both a protective herb for warriors and a plant for healers & empaths.

According to legend, the Greek warrior Achilles used Yarrow to tend his soldiers' wounds in battle. That story still lives on today in its Latin name, Achillea millefolium, and its enduring symbolism.

It’s a plant of fascinating opposites: Cooling yet warming. Grounding yet uplifting. Protective while still opening.

Traditionally, it’s been used to help slow bleeding while also encouraging movement and circulation; a plant so attuned to imbalance that it seems to meet the body exactly where it’s needed.

And energetically, Yarrow has long been associated with healthy boundaries.

Some plants don’t just offer remedies… They completely change the way you understand healing itself.

A while back, we shared a short excerpt from our Yarrow Plant Talk, and the response was incredible! It resonated with so many people that we decided to share the full lesson for a limited time.

In this free, full-length Plant Talk, clincial herbalist and aromatherapist Erika Galentin explores the traditional medicine, history, energetics, and herbal & aromatic uses of Yarrow in a way that will transform how you see this powerful plant.

Inside, you’ll discover:

✨ Why Yarrow is known as the “Herb of the Wounded Warrior & Healer”
✨ Its rich history, folklore, and traditional use across cultures & healing systems
✨ How it supports physical, emotional & energetic balance
✨ Herbal & aromatherapy recipes you can make at home
✨ Yarrow’s botany & how to grow it
✨ Practical ways to work with Yarrow in everyday life
