Chamomile's reputation today is as a calming herb, Chamomile's reputation today is as a calming herb, but that's only part of its story. Since ancient times, it's been used for fevers, nausea, emotional balance, uterine support, and more.

The Ancient Egyptians used dried Chamomile powder as a mild pain reliever. In Ancient Greece, Hippocrates used it to bring down fevers, while Dioscorides and Galen turned to it for reproductive health and uterine support.

Chamomile was also dedicated to the sun god Ra in Ancient Egypt, a fitting allegiance given its traditional association with the solar plexus, the network of nerves in the stomach that radiate outward like rays of the sun. ☀️

The solar plexus governs both digestion and the fight-or-flight stress response, which may explain why Chamomile's calming effect so often shows up as a soothing digestive aid as well.

These traditional uses hold up today, too. The British Herbal Pharmacopoeia lists German and Roman Chamomile as carminative, antispasmodic, anti-emetic, anti-inflammatory, and a mild sedative/nervine.

🔍 Swipe through for more on Chamomile's role in aromatic medicine.

When you see a dandelion, do you think of it as a When you see a dandelion, do you think of it as a weed or a wild plant?

As you might already know, many plants that are thought of as weeds are actually wild plant medicine. Dandelion greens and roots are a great plant ally for liver support. They’re also highly nutritious and loaded with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. But it can be hard to find Dandelions that haven't been sprayed with chemicals.

Growing up in urban spaces, we’re often taught to think that plants growing in our manicured landscapes and lawns are unwelcome weeds and insignificant invaders that we must get rid of!

However, (with the exception of invasive species) these plants are not intruders taking over our artificial spaces, but rather, WE are the trespassers who’ve haphazardly taken over their home. The wild lands of forests, lakes, marshes, and meadows are their homes that we’ve built upon.

The definition of a weed is a plant considered undesirable in a particular location, “a plant in the wrong place”.

It’s interesting to note that many therapeutic herbs contain the word “weed” in their common name, including (but not limited to): Milkweed, Pokeweed, Ragweed, Knotweed, Fireweed, Horseweed, Jewelweed, and Chickweed. Surely these medicinal herbs are not undesirable?

Unfortunately, many people spray the land with chemicals and herbicides to eradicate “weeds”, and local governments spray along highways, roads, and bridges, poisoning our ecosystems.

What if we all started treating all wild plants as medicine, instead of weeds? What if that Dandelion that keeps growing in your backyard isn’t a menacing headache, but rather a gift from the Earth? 🌿✨

Why are Turmeric and Black Pepper seemingly always Why are Turmeric and Black Pepper seemingly always paired together?

Curcumin, the main compound Turmeric is known for, is notoriously hard for your body to absorb. Most of it passes right through you before it ever gets used.

But add a little bit of Black Pepper to the mix, and the active compound in Pepper (piperine) slows down how quickly your liver breaks curcumin apart, giving your body more time to actually absorb it. Studies have shown this pairing can boost curcumin absorption dramatically!

This isn't some new hack, either. Ayurvedic medicine has combined Turmeric and Black Pepper for centuries, long before anyone understood the biochemistry behind it.

So next time you’re reaching for a Turmeric latte, Golden Milk, or supplement, be sure to include a touch of Black Pepper to maximize the benefits of that Turmeric.

Frankincense has been burning in sacred spaces for Frankincense has been burning in sacred spaces for over 5,000 years. 🔥

Egyptians burned it in their temples and used it in embalming rituals. It was one of the key ingredients in Ketoret, the sacred incense of the Temple in ancient Israel. Arabian traders built entire fortunes moving it along trade routes where its value rivaled gold.

Light a piece, and the smoke rises bright and resinous, almost citrusy, like sunlight distilled into scent.

Perhaps that's why so much of Frankincense's ancient symbolism is connected to the sun. ☀️

Frankincense was offered as sacred smoke to solar deities across cultures, burned in honor of the sun god Ra in ancient Egypt and Apollo in Greece, its rising smoke thought to carry prayers and offerings upward, linking earth to sky.

Today, Frankincense is still burned in many spiritual traditions to symbolize prayers ascending to heaven and to purify sacred spaces.

There's a reason people have turned to this resin in ritual and meditation for thousands of years; some traditions describe it as a key to unlocking deeper insight and connection to the divine.

✨ Light a piece and experience this sacred resin for yourself. Link in bio.

Okay, be honest...How many bottles are sitting on Okay, be honest...How many bottles are sitting on your apothecary shelf right now, half-full, bought with excitement, used once or twice, then forgotten?

It happens to almost everyone.

We're told, "This herb is great for stress." "This essential oil helps with sleep." "You have to try this new remedy."

So we collect one recommendation after another, hoping we'll eventually build the perfect apothecary. But more often than not, we end up with a cabinet full of plants that don't work the way they're advertised. And it doesn't really benefit the earth or the plants (or your wallet!).

The truth is, aromatic medicine was never meant to be practiced this way.

The ancient healing traditions taught something very different: they began with the person. For thousands of years, holistic healers understood that every individual expresses a unique energetic constitution, and every plant carries its own energetic signature.

Their goal wasn't simply to prescribe plants for symptoms; it was to match plants to people.

That's where the Elements come in: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. These 4 elemental forces create a foundational framework for understanding both people and plants.

When you learn to recognize how the Elements shape a person's constitution and how those same patterns are expressed through herbs, essential oils, and aromatic plants...

Everything begins to align. ✨

And you're finally able to know which herbs and aromatics will actually earn a permanent place in your practice.

This is exactly what you'll learn in our Foundational Mini-Course Bundle – which is 40% OFF for 1 more day! Sale ends tomorrow, August 18 at midnight PST.

After these courses, you’ll be able to:

✔ Read the elemental signatures behind symptoms, emotions & health patterns
✔ Understand why certain remedies work beautifully for one person but not others
✔ Match plants to people based on energetics, not symptoms
✔ Identify your own constitutional tendencies (& support them with the right plants)
✔ Choose remedies with far greater precision
✔ See your apothecary through a whole new lens

Have you ever felt frustrated trying an essential Have you ever felt frustrated trying an essential oil or herb that everyone swears by, only to find it doesn’t really do anything for you? 🤔 So you start to wonder: Am I doing something wrong? Is this oil quality low? Is the herb too old?

Here's the reality: You just need different plants.

The problem is, we've been taught to think about plants as if they work the same way for everyone, as if there's a universal "best oil for sleep" or "top herb for digestion."

But ancient healers knew something important: healing isn't one-size-fits-all.

Everyone has a unique constitution or energetic balance that shapes everything from body temperature to personality, from how you handle stress to which plants will actually support you.

Just as every person has their own unique personality and energy, plants have their own unique expressions, too. And the relationship between plants and people may be one of the oldest keys to holistic health. ✨

Understanding this foundational wisdom helps you start choosing plants that actually speak your body's language.

This ancient holistic framework is the focus of our Foundational Mini-Course Bundle (40% off for a limited time!).

Inside, you'll receive 2 mini-courses: The Elements in Aromatic Medicine + The Personal Constitution Mini-Course.

10 video lessons and ~9 hours of wisdom that reveal the secret language between plants + people and the energetic patterns healers have worked with for thousands of years.

Inside, you'll discover:

✨ What the 4 elements reveal about your body + energetics
🌼 How to match plants with people instead of plants with problems
🌿 Why the same plant can be healing for one person but not for another
💡 A framework that will transform how you work with herbs for yourself (+ your clients)

🌟 Bonus: Includes your own Personal Constitution Quiz!

Sale ends August 18 at midnight PST. ⏳

🧩 If you’ve ever worked on a puzzle, then you know 🧩 If you’ve ever worked on a puzzle, then you know the feeling of finally fitting the right puzzle piece into that empty spot. After a long search (often involving trying multiple pieces, and each one seems close, but just not quiiiite right), you finally find the right one, and it connects effortlessly.

That’s what it’s like when you find the right plants for your unique self.

Not every plant works for every person. Plants are complex beings, just like humans. Sometimes we just vibe better with specific plants over others, and it all depends on our unique body type, constitution, personality, emotional ecology, as well as the energetic makeup of each plant.

Every person has a unique constitution, a balance of energy that shapes everything from your body temperature to your personality, from how you handle stress to which plants will actually support you.

When you understand your constitution and the energetic qualities of plants, everything falls into place. You start matching plants with people, instead of trying to choose plants based on symptoms.

The result is a more potent, effective remedy.

This is exactly what you'll learn in our Foundational Mini-Course Bundle – which is 40% OFF for a limited time!
